In order to provide you with all our services in the best clear and transparent way, we are governed by Clauses and Policies. GENERAL

Before renting, we will appreciate it if you take the time to read the policies and answer all your questions. Remember that once you have prepaid your reservation or signed the contract if it is a direct rental at the counter, you are subject to the company's policies. No conversation, call or email replaces a lack of knowledge of the policies. You can access them at any time from your quote/reservation and through the company's official site. The rates on the website are preferential and exclusive for reservations, they are not the counter rates.

DRIVING RESTRICTIONS

The vehicles must remain in the continental territory and will be limited to the states of Quintana Roo and Yucatán.

If you leave the aforementioned territories, coverage and assistance will be cancelled, so the client will be responsible for 100% of the vehicle.

QUOTES

We appreciate that you are interested in renting your vehicle with us, please keep in mind that:

  • When generating a quote you have 72 hours to make the payment. After this time your quote will expire.
  • All quotes are subject to rate changes without notice. If a rate change is generated within 72 hours, this quote will expire.
  • All quotes must be made a minimum of 72 hours in advance to guarantee the vehicle.
  • All quotes less than 72 hours in advance are subject to availability at the destination.
  • Promotions and discounts may be closed without prior notice, invalidating quotes.
RESERVATIONS

At Price Car Rentals we guarantee the availability of the vehicle; If we do not have the exact vehicle you chose, we will assign one of the same category. If we do not have any vehicle of the category available, we will assign a higher category one at no extra cost by applying the guarantee deposit corresponding to the original unit.

Reservations have a tolerance of 2 hours for the client to show up at the location. If the client does not show up within this period, a vehicle will be provided to the client. However, if the vehicle is of a higher category, the client will have to pay the difference. for failing to comply with the schedule, despite this you will have an assigned vehicle applying the security deposit of the assigned vehicle.

If your reservation is scheduled before the location closes, keep in mind that when opening/closing the contract, charges may be generated for delivery/return after hours. If you need to make a change to your reservation after having made your pre-payment, it is necessary to take into account that the refund and cancellation policies will apply. If said change alters the value of the rental to a higher value, you must pay the additional amount.

If you fail to comply with any essential requirement or policy, you will incur a penalty of the total prepayment.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CAR RENTALS AT PRICE CAR RENTALS

  • The minimum age required is 21 years of age. (If you are 18 to 20 years old, it will be possible to rent for an additional cost of 210 pesos per day).
  • Government-issued photo ID. Only the INE (Mexican citizens) or Passport will be accepted. It is necessary to present the original identifications physically.
  • Original driver's license valid throughout the rental.
    • The contract holder and additional drivers must present the original valid driver's license with photograph, in addition to their official identification.
    • If you have a digital license, you must have a photograph and QR code. Submit printed format.
  • Credit card in physical format personalized by the bank in the name of the account holder and corporate.
    • Are welcome: VISA, Master Card y American Express.
    • The card must have the funds to cover the security deposit.
    • We do not accept FINTECH cards or departmental cards.
    • We do not accept credit card extensions.
    • The cardholder is responsible for the use he or she authorizes of his or her card, taking into account that only credit cards handled by the account holder are accepted.

The credit card is an essential requirement to be able to make your rent due to the guarantee deposit, however the payment of the rent can be made with your debit card.

We reserve the right to accept the required documents if they do not comply with the standards established by Price Car Rentals and therefore deny the rental of the vehicle. All requested documents must be presented without alterations, deletions or amendments in addition to being valid during the term of the contract.

If making a reservation for commercial use (travel agencies, transport companies, among others), other rental policies will apply; The insurance will be automatically declined if you do not comply with the clauses established in the contract, the owner will be 100% responsible for the vehicle and we will not be responsible for delays, flight losses or any other impact on third parties.

At Price Car Rentals we reserve the right to accept or decline a reservation if any of our rental requirements are not met and you will not be entitled to a refund.

SHUTTLE

It is important that you take into account that the airport transfer service is subject to the mobility of the destination, the waiting period varies from 0 to 120 minutes. Please note that we receive many visitors and the airport can be crowded.

It is very important that you go to the meeting points that you will receive in your reservation. The transfer service is only available for our branches near the Cancun and Mérida city airports.

COVERAGES

We are sure that you want to have maximum control of your budget. That is why at Price Car Rentals we offer you this unique coverage in the market. Keep in mind that you must comply with all the requirements, not violate the maximum capacity of the vehicles as well as respect the clauses of the contract or the coverage will be invalidated.

No coverage covers floods, partial or total damage due to natural disasters and/or weather phenomena, theft of belongings, vandalism or partial thefts.

None of the coverage includes fines, tires, rims, glass, damages caused by negligence of the driver or passengers, keys, plates, tow trucks and/or corralón. Coverage may be invalidated if the number of occupants in the vehicle is exceeded, federal, state or municipal laws or the clauses of the contract and/or company policies are breached.

BASIC COVERAGE (Included):

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Reduces the driver's responsibility in the event of an accident. 10% deductible according to the vehicle. The CDW does not cover theft/damage of accessories, tires, wheels or glass.
  • Public Liability Insurance (PLI): The PLI covers up to $1,500,000.00 MXN in civil liability and basic legal assistance.
  • Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): Covers medical expenses in case of accident. Coverage covers up to $100,000 MXN per occupant. This coverage is invalidated if the number of occupants in the vehicle is exceeded.

PREMIUM COVERAGE (exclusively for reservations):

  • Supplementary Liability Insurance (SLI): This coverage is an extension and complement of civil liability insurance with coverage of up to $3,000,000.00 MXN in damages to third parties, as well as covers legal assistance if required.
  • 0% deductible: In case of total theft or total loss of the vehicle (The client must have the keys), in the event of any event it is important that you immediately notify Price Car Rentals so that the event is recorded and the accident report is filed or heist. In case of non-compliance with the Clauses of the contract (Rental Agreement) and/or laws or traffic rules, this coverage is cancelled. Does not cover tires, wheels or glass.
  • Telephone Assistance: If you are lost and don't know how to get to a place, you just have to call us, our call center executives are here to help you.

ADDITIONAL NON-MANDATORY COVERAGES

These coverages are an additional complement to the PREMIUM coverage, they are not included in the daily rental cost (Coverage valid only in the rental city).

Tires and Glass Insurance (TGI):This coverage protects you in case of damage caused to tires, wheels or the panoramic glass. No deductibles or additional charges.

This coverage is not valid if the driver is unauthorized or intoxicated. You must comply with the clauses of the contract (Rental Agreement). This coverage is only valid for one event per rental period. Does not include road assistance.

Road Side Program (RSP): Close the circle of protection by giving you support whenever you need it, the program is 24/7 every day including holidays.

In case of any problem, the program covers roadside assistance such as:

  • Current passage.
  • Spare tire change.
  • Refueling.
  • Re-entry into the vehicle / Sending of duplicate keys.

It will generate additional charges for replacement of tires, wheels, fuel, replacement keys, among others.

All coverages are valid unless rejected due negligence, mechanical damage in general. Low parts due to blows, vandalism, meteorogical phenomena, floods, mechanical and/or electrical damage, violations of the lease agreement or coverage.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

At Price Car Rentals the rates are so complete that you already have two (2) additional drivers included, who must be present at the time of rental. Each of them must meet the same requirements as the owner of the rental (current driver's license and official identification).

The additional drivers, like the rental holder, are subject to the clauses established in the contract regarding the driving of the vehicle, its proper use and safeguarding. Additional drivers are considered jointly responsible for civil liability for damage to third parties and/or the vehicle.

Price Car Rentals reserves the right to authorize additional drivers if they do not meet the standards established by the company and/or the authorities.

REFUNDS, MODIFICATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS

At Price Car Rentals we understand that plans change from one moment to the next, that trips can take us by surprise and a mistake can affect our entire vacation. This is why we ask you to pay close attention to the following points:

  • All prepaid reservations are subject to the rental policies, so if you fail to comply with them, in addition to not authorizing the execution of the contract, the amount paid will not be refundable.
  • If you want to cancel your reservation, you can do so without any penalty before 15 days from the start of your rental.
  • Cancellations made 15 calendar days or less before the start of your rental will be penalized with the total prepayment.
  • Any modification of reservations must be made 5 calendar days (120 hours) before the start of the rental to avoid incurring the penalty of paying one day's rent. (Modifications will be made within business hours).
  • To request the cancellation or modification of your reservation, please contact our customer service, which has service hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday via email reservations@pricecarrentals.com.
  • If you do not arrive at your reservation on the scheduled day, no refund will be made, and the cancellation penalty corresponding to the total amount of the prepayment will be applied.
  • If you wish to redeem the reservation the next (calendar) day, you may request reactivation as long as the vehicle is available, considering that a one-day penalty will be applied.

DEPOSITS IN GUARANTEE

Please note that we will make a security deposit (bank authorization) on the credit card requested (VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS only). This deposit is used to support the contract. All security deposits will be made on a single personalized credit card (we do not accept FINTECH or departmental cards).They will not be made on debit cards nor will cash guarantees be accepted.This warranty is subject to the terms and conditions of the warranty which must be signed at the location.

The amount for the guarantee is according to the type of vehicle:

Economical and compact: $7,000.00 mxn.
Intermediate: $9,000.00 mxn.
Full size and Compact SUV: $10,000.00 mxn.
Intermediate SUV and Minivan: $12,000.00 mxn.
Van: $14,000.00 mxn.

Consider that when you return your unit, Price Car Rentals will release your deposit. Our bank takes 24 hours on business days to complete the release process, after that the waiting time for your deposit to be reflected on your credit card will depend on your bank. PICK UP

In the case of reservations, we will appreciate it if you arrive on time to make your reservation effective, since there is only 2 hours of tolerance. Once the tolerance time has passed, the vehicle will be available and your reservation will be subject to availability. If there is no other vehicle of the same category, you must pay the difference for the next category. If you do not pick up the vehicle on the scheduled day, the cancellation policy will apply, so the penalty will be the total prepayment.

Our scheduled service interval is according to each location, it is important to take into account that all rentals, returns and reservations must be scheduled in advance and will be attended to according to what your contract indicates.

We love to give you the best of services, for this we keep our vehicles smoke-free,smoking/vaping/similar is not allowed in them,if you do so in our units, you will be charged $3,000.00 MNX pesos for cleaning and deodorization.

RETURN (DROP OFF)

We appreciate that you decided to rent with us, remember that you can always make a change or modification in the place and/or time of return (it may incur additional charges) as long as this request is authorized by Price Car Rentals, we will appreciate you contacting the Call Center with a minimum of 24 hours.

Our scheduled service interval is according to each location, it is important to take into account that all rentals, returns and reservations must be scheduled in advance and will be attended to according to what your contract indicates.

Please take the following points into account when delivering the vehicle:

  • The Vehicle must be delivered clean, if not, a penalty of $550.00 MN pesos will be applied for cleaning.
  • If the vehicle is delivered with residue/odor or others of cigarette or similar, vomit or other substances, a penalty of $3,000.00 MN pesos will be applied for cleaning and deodorization.
  • Check the gasoline level so that you deliver it with the same amount that they gave it to you at the location. Remember that if you deliver the vehicle with less gasoline, you will have to pay for the shortage plus an additional service for filling up with gasoline.
  • Check the interior of the vehicle before handing it over, ensuring that no belongings are left in the rented vehicle. It is your responsibility to take care of your belongings.
  • Keep in mind that we may have a high volume of operations, so please arrive at least two hours before the closing of your contract to avoid additional charges.
  • If you deliver to a location assigned to the airport (Cancún or Mérida), please take into account that the airlines ask you to arrive 2 – 3 hours in advance, so we suggest you arrive 2 hours before the requested time. the airline since we are not responsible for delays in the office.
  • We are not responsible for missed flights, tours among other services. It is the client's responsibility to manage their time and tolerances for the services they contract.
  • When returning the vehicle, the contract holder must be present.

In the event of breach of contract by the owner or additional drivers, in addition to the charges incurred, Price Car Rentals is authorized to invalidate the rental contract immediately and may take the necessary actions to recover the rented unit.

GASOLINE

Your lease contract specifies the level of gasoline in which your vehicle is delivered, so you must deliver it at the same level. Gasoline is not included in the rent, if you deliver the vehicle with a lower amount of gasoline than you received it, a charge will be made for the amount of the missing gasoline in addition to a charging service charge. We remind you that there are no refunds for excess gasoline.

All vehicles must be recharged with PREMIUM gasoline or similar.

Gasoline shortages will be charged per eighth missing according to the vehicle.

The gasoline filling service is $65.00 pesos per missing eighth.

 

GRACE PERIOD, EXTRA HOURS

The rental of the vehicle is for 24 continuous hours, so the minimum rental charge will be one day. You have a grace period in the first 59 minutes from the delivery time.

At minute 60, the additional hour will be charged, canceling the grace period. You have a limit of 2 additional hours, after minute 121 the full day will be charged. If you have contracted additional coverage, it will be charged from minute 60.

RETURN IN OTHER CITIES (DROP OFF)

At Price Car Rentals we understand that you are looking for the best facilities for your trip, that is why you have the alternative of returning the vehicle you rented at any of our other offices in Mérida, Tulum, Playa del Carmen or Cancún according to the following table:

RETURNS TO SPECIAL DESTINATIONS (SPECIAL DROP OFF)

Travel is an adventure, that is why we have opened 2 destinations only for vehicle delivery. So you can continue your adventure! If you wish to deliver to one of these destinations, it is important that you request it when making your reservation or if you have already made it, contact one of our agents 72 hours in advance to make the necessary modifications, this is a prepaid service.

Departing from Cancun, Playa del Carmen or Tulum:

  • Chiquilá: $4,800.00 pesos, delivery to PEMEX station next to the dock.
  • Hours: 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (check available schedules according to return)
  • Chetumal: $7,954.00 pesos, delivery to ADO terminal near the airport.
  • Hours: 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (check available hours according to return)

All deliveries will be agreed depending on the destination. It is necessary to notify the delivery time (according to the destination and delivery times mentioned above) at the time of making the reservation.

CONTRACT EXTENSION

When renting a vehicle with Price Car Rentals, you agree to deliver the vehicle at the time, date and place established in the rental agreement (Rental Agreement) that you have signed.

We understand that sometimes plans change, that is why we would appreciate you taking the following points into account:

  • If you wish to change the delivery time, it is important that you notify us 12 hours in advance (within business hours) to make the changes to your contract. If you do not comply with this unavoidable requirement, we will not be responsible for additional charges or expenses.
  • To make an extension in the lease contract, it is an unavoidable requirement to notify it 24 hours in advance and appear at the location to sign the contract extension, as well as to make the payment for the requested extension. If after 6 hours after the expiration of your contract you have not shown up at the location, a report will be made for breach of the rental contract and for non-return of the vehicle (theft) to the corresponding authorities. Therefore, Price Car Rentals is exempt from any liability as a result of this lack.
  • All rental extensions are subject to the rates in force on the day requested according to what is published at our counter.

DAMAGES AND ACCIDENTS

At Price Car Rentals we understand that accidents or damages can happen at any time, in case of any mishap it is important that you take the following points into consideration:

  • The driver is the one who must immediately notify Price Car Rentals of the incident so that the report can be made to the insurance company. Keep in mind that they will ask you for your address (it is necessary to give exact coordinates) and full name.
  • Only if you are authorized through the rental contract will the coverage be valid.
  • It is your obligation to remain at the scene of the accident or damage until both the insurance company and the corresponding authorities arrive at the scene of the accident.
  • When the parties and the authority arrive, you must present your license, the same one you showed when opening the rental contract.
  • Remember that you are responsible for 10% of the value of the vehicle, so any damage less than the deductible value must be covered by you.
  • All damage is quoted by the company and specialized personnel. If you do not agree with the quote, you can request a second quote which will be made at the brand agency. Some quotes are issued for a fee, which you must cover.

PAYMENT AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES

At Price Car Rentals we always think about you and your safety, which is why all rental payments must be made by credit/debit card. Cash is not accepted at the locations. All transactions will be made in MEXICAN PESOS.

Please note that only VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS are accepted at the locations. All reservations will be subject to physical delivery of the receipt. If not presented, the prepayment will not be valid.

It is necessary to present the physical card with which the payment was made to be validated. The credit card holder must be the owner of the reservation.

If you will make the payment for the reservation and another person will be the one who picks up the unit, it will be necessary to send us a letter to the email reservations@pricecarrentals.com assigning the right to the reservation with the following information:

  • Paid reservation number.
  • Name of the person making the reservation.
  • Name of the person who will pick up the vehicle.
  • Signature of the person who paid for the reservation.
  • Copy of the identification of the person granting the reservation.
BILLING

Your invoice will be made with the information that you provide us. Your invoice is requested directly from the Price Car Rentals page once your vehicle rental contract has ended.
